Berlusconi met Lario in 1980, when she appeared in a play in Milan called The Magnificent Cuckold. At one point she appeared topless and the future prime minister was smitten. Berlusconi was still married to his first wife, Carla Elvira Dall Olglio, with whom he had two children, at the time.
