Movable Feast Carries a Pollution Price:

"Cod caught off Norway is shipped to China to be turned into filets, then shipped back to Norway for sale. Argentine lemons fill supermarket shelves on the Citrus Coast of Spain, as local lemons rot on the ground. Half of Europe’s peas are grown and packaged in Kenya."

I blame The Food Network...and Oprah. (it's a joke, don't throw down your remote)

That first line is ridiculous.
No one in Norway knows how to filet a cod?

Seriously.
If you do nothing else to contribute to saving the environment....Try to buy local for the fruits and vegetables that grow here.
I'm not always successful, but at least I try.
