Landing at Toncontin International Airport in Honduras

The origin of the name ToncontÃn is unknown. This airport has received much criticism for being one of the most dangerous in the world due to its proximity to the mountains and for years efforts have been made to replace it with Palmerola airport in Comayagua, currently a United States airbase.

The Prince Juliana Airpot at St Maarten is not as dangerous as Toncontin but makes for one scary approach if you are relaxing on the beach looking up.
